What kind of saw blade did you use?
Just a wood cutting blade, the more teeth the better the cut.
Thanks! Great tip for first time home buyers just starting out with home improvement 😊
Thank you very much for the comment and the $ tip. It means a lot and keeps us motivated to produce more quality content.
Route the short ends first to clean up any tear out in the long ends second. Also it’s an ogee bit… 🥱
Very helpful. .. thanks !
Thanks!!
#bandsawcowboy 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Haha thank you sir!
Can you explain what that tape for zero clearance does?
Not really needed for this but a zero clearance is good to have to avoid tearout when cutting wood. The reason is the the item you are cutting is completely supported and hence reduces tearout. Using a tape is just a cheap substitute for having a wood or plastic zero clearance insert. Hope that helps
How do I know what o rings to get it . Or all them all the same
How do I know that o rings to get . Or all them all the same
Please see the description of the video where I had the part numbers for the valve I have. If you valve is different you will need to google it. For my valve: Materials and Supplies - I bought the o-rings from ebay, search "o rings 98209800, 98209803, 98209804" to find the part.
Thanks man used this video and it went great.
Thanks and appreciate that you left a comment
Obrigada por compartilhar! Serviço muito bom
Thank you very much
always nice to share this kind of tricks ... i should have filmed when i replaced the thermal switch and temperature control on mine (whirpool ikea) : a common problem on such fridges ...
but one guy did a full replacement ruclips.net/video/nfrJVxud8ro/видео.html, i fortuanely found the small thermal part for 15$ shipping included
Agreed someone somewhere is having the same issue. The repair guys will charge a lot for replacing fixing things like this
very nice choice ... original & classic at the same time 👍 14:46 nice trick they made ...
Thanks
If you would slow the video down it would be very helpful. Also, giving the length and width of your cuts for the size of the piece of art would be great.
Thank you and appreciate the constructive feedback. It helps to know for future videos. As far as speed it’s always a tough decision, as we don’t want to make the video too long. But point taken and we’ll be more judicious on editing
You really went way too fast but I got it finally, the top wasn’t on right from the beginning so the spring couldn’t catch on to the long screw, thanks anyway.
If you go to my channel you will find a longer 7 min version of the video, link below ruclips.net/video/9UhnyRNjrkM/видео.htmlsi=z3dRQASX8ycshvyd
Thank you! Really helpful😊 what type of wood do you use to make the frame? Is there a specific name/ depth etc?
I used oak that was left over from another project. I had bought it from Home Depot. It was just over an inch in depth.
What size are the o rings for it?
If you go see the description of the video you will see I have the part numbers to the o rings. That’s for the valve I have.
Magnifique! 🤩
Thank you appreciate you watching and commenting
2nd and 3rd method is good
Thanks
You should have replaced the entire section with a new piece of wood connecting them internally with a dowel and glue. That would have created a much stronger fix.
Actually the chair leg is still holding strong without issues after all this time. While it may seem a better way to do what you suggested it’s not really a DIY job, but yes there are better ways to fix this issue.
Thanks a bunch for posting. Exactly what I was looking for to fix my chair.
Excellent glad it helped. Appreciate you watching and leaving a comment
Great video. I observed that you also set the depth stop to very shallow - something you didn't mention in the video?
Yes you are correct it was set to just cut the rubber. Thanks for that observation commenting, it a good tip. The saw has a shallow stop setting which is used to avoid tear out when cutting plywood.
Nice looking set, those quick connects are very cool.
Thanks mate, yeah they really are cool and quick. Not really sure on longevity, time will tell. Seems like all big box store faucet models are quick connect.
Nice clean install Harki. It's kind of hit or miss to get the replacement ceramic disc washers for old leaky taps.
Agreed, and the new faucets are easy to install but are mostly plastic and don’t last long.
You scared me using that miter saw!
I understand, everyone has their own comfort level when using power tools.
Can I use a mitre saw blade or chop saw blade?
Not sure if the question but I am using a miter saw to cut it. You ideally want to use a blade with more teeth per inch so it gives to a better cut.
More teeth smooth cut. Got it! Muchas Gracias!…
Excellent teacher! Thank you.
Thanks you very much, hope it helped and save yourself a few bucks doing it yourself. Just be sure not to over tighten the ring that connects the two halves of the filter, as that can crack the filter.
Thanks for sharing, nice tap set. Looks great against the stone top 👍
Thanks man, they have made it real easy to install these things.
Great Job! 👍👀👍 Thanks!
Thank you sir
@@LonghornWorkshop You’re Welcome!
any tips for spacing and how to avoid seams?
I eyeballed the spacing, and the tiles are off set with each other so hard to see the seam. The key is spacing, if you don’t want to eyeball it, you can try and see if you can use tile spacers. To be honest for me eyeballing was easier, just stick the tile sheet to the wall step back and see if it looks seamless. You can also offer the whole tile sheet, like a brick wall. Not sure if any of that helps ?
nicely done!
Thank you sir, appreciate it
Excellent. Complete, thorough and efficient. Thank you!
Thanks appreciate that
I have been looking for a ruler rack for myself for a while and been unhappy with what I found. I'm so happy I ran across your video. I may not build it to the exact specs that you have given us but it's one of the best that I have found and I plan on making my own that I can hang on the wall.
That’s great, I hope you do make one. I’d luck and thanks again for watching and commenting
My new tool from Amazon broke first time using it for this. It was $7.99 though 🤔
Oh no sorry to hear that. I guess you can use a hacksaw but it may mess up the threads
@LonghornWorkshop I have 12 screws so hoping to find a more durable or quality tool or even pay someone to do for me.
@@kathryng8258 best to go to the hardware store and get the right size, be a lot cheaper. They can find you the exact same size and length
Thank you for your service 🖖
Thanks
Very helpful video. Lots of visual closeups!
Thank you
great way on trimming the splinter guard!
Thanks man appreciate that
Wicked cool ✌️
Thanks
Gracias !!
Thank you
Thanks!
Thank you very much that’s really appreciated. It’s first super thanks $ so means a lot.
Awesome video . Wouldn't change a thing. ❤
Thank you very much.
Did you need to shut off the water?
No I didn’t need to turn off the water main. If you have a similar setup you just need to turn off the shower faucet that’s takes water to the spout.
absolutely crazy running your hands through that saw!
Great video. I learned a lot. Thank you.
That’s great, thanks for the feedback. Appreciate you.
This is a great job and very helpful for me to learn from. Thanks
Thanks appreciate that
I have been trying to figure this out all day. This was so easy to understand.
It’s an easy project and makes the windows stand out. Look at some images online and see what you like first for your house, the execution is not hard. Good luck
Does this work with wooden blinds too?
Never had the need to do that on wooden blinds but in theory you should be able to do it. You have to make sure there is no metal parts or string’s where you make the cuts. Without actually seeing your blind I can’t say if it will work or not. You will need to just inspect and make that decision.
I'm not strong enough to make it cut through.
I understand, you can try and use a hacksaw but the threads may get messed up, but worth a try. Or just go to the hardware store and get smaller ones.
@LonghornWorkshop I ended up hitting it closed with a wratchet handle. Now I have new lanterns up. Thanks they look excellent 👍
At first I was like: I can totally do that with what I have at home. Then the big machines came out ahaha
lol it can be done if you have patience. A cheap miter saw from FB market place would be a good investment. It’s in my to do list to make a picture frame from basic tools
super tutorial, thanks
Thank you
Great video, thanks.
Thank you sir, appreciate you watching and commenting.
